Campus Recreation offers a wide variety of programming, including Maine Bound, a well-known outdoor education and recreation program. Maine Bound is housed in the Maine Bound Adventure Center, a state of the art climbing and teaching facility. In addition to the Adventure Center, the Assistant Director is responsible for the Challenge Course located in the University Forest. Maine Bound is known for its excellent programs and services, which this position will administer. Typical hiring range for this position is $38,000 to $44,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications

Qualifications :
Master's Degree in Outdoor Recreation or related field
Wilderness First Responder
Maine Guides License required (or ability to obtain within 3 months of employment)
Position should have additional training or certification in at the instructor level through such organizations as the American Canoe Association, American Mountain Guides Association, Wilderness Education Assocation, Project Adventure, etc.
Required to maintain certifications and to participate in ongoing continuing education programs
At least three years of full-time experience in program administration, leadership and operations. Two years of a related graduate assistantship may be substituted for one year.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
