This position is contingent on soft-money funds. Typical hiring range for this position is $41,000 to $48,000 commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Qualifications :
Required:
BA/BS degree or equivalent experience in accounting, business or related area.
Substantial (typically three years) experience in grants management and general fiscal procedures.
Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
Skill in use of personal computers and related software applications.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Database management skills.
Preferred:
Knowledge of grant funding policies and procedures and applicable local, state, federal and university regulations.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
