Statement of the Job :
The School of Engineering Technology at the University of Maine invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in the area of survey engineering to be filled at the assistant professor level. The successful candidate must develop and teach both traditional and online courses at all levels of the curriculum. Engineering technology faculty members clearly communicate with students the connections between principles and professional practice using written and verbal methods. The selected faculty member is expected to engage in scholarship, professional service and/or consulting; service to the discipline and the community, as well as professional society activities; ETAC/ABET accreditation efforts; recruitment; student advising; and University committees. The department encourages faculty members to pursue professional development opportunities. The candidate will contribute to the live undergraduate degree, the online undergraduate degree, and the two online graduate degree/certificate options.

Qualifications :
Required:
The successful candidate must possess professional licensure as a land surveyor in the United States and have a master?s (or higher) degree in a surveying engineering related discipline.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, have performed effectively in collaborative team environments, and have experience working with diverse populations.
Preferred:
Experience in surveying practice, surveying education, and online education are preferred.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
