The University of Maine Cooperative Extension is hiring an Administrative Specialist CL2 to provide administrative support to Cooperative Extension?s Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) which serves low-income families and youth throughout the state of Maine. The position will be located on the University of Maine campus in Orono. Daily work hours are Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This position is contingent on funding . Starting pay for this position is $14.23/hour (B22).

Qualifications :
Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven record of team-work, customer service and professionalism required.
Demonstrated effective communication skills both verbally and in writing including proofreading
Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe InDesign (or other desktop graphic design software), G (Google) Suite and WordPress
Attention to detail
Administrative experience in an office setting
Demonstrated good judgment
Database experience
Experience coordinating conferences and events
Experience with UMaine?s General Ledger and MaineStreet systems
Knowledge of Cooperative Extension and its mission
Ability to write moderately complex database queries
Graphic design experience
Associate?s or Bachelor?s degree is preferred

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
