Assistant Professor in Operations Management

The Maine Business School invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor rank in Operations Management for Fall 2018. The MBS offers BS and MBA degrees.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Primary job responsibilities are to:
Teaching operations management at the BS and MBA level;
Advising students
Engage in scholarly (basic) research
Participate in service for the school, university, profession, and community.
The normal teaching load is currently a 3, 2; but is routinely reduced to a 2, 2 for new Assistant Professors.
Faculty must have a quality research program, publish in peer-reviewed journals and participate in maintenance of AACSB accreditation.
Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications:
Applicants must have or anticipate completion of a Ph.D. in Operations Management from an AACSB accredited program by Fall 2018.
ABDs with a definite defense date will be considered.
Ideal candidates must have work experience in operations management or logistics, expertise or evident potential in providing quality teaching, a basic research pipeline and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preference will be given to those with experience, prior teaching experience and knowledge of LMS.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
