Temporary Food Service Technician CL 2
Position Located at The Darling Marine Center- Walpole, ME
Full-time, temporary position, 40 hours per week. Daily work schedule will vary. Position is expected to begin May 15, 2017 and end November 15, 2017.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Employee serves food and beverages to large groups of people according to specified menus and/or for individuals requiring special diets; cooks items in a food service venue; cleans stocks and maintains customer service areas including counters, equipment, tables and general work area; prepares and displays food items using necessary food service equipment; maintains the customer service and quality standards set forth by the department; interacts and serves the customer demonstrating positive customer service skills; responsible for proper practice of safety and sanitation techniques using ServSafe procedures; prepares proper documentation according to HACCP guidelines from food preparation to storage.
Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications:
Significant food preparation experience in an institutional setting to include training, instructing and supervising the work of other employees is preferred.
Experience in the preparation of a variety of menu items and coordinating food service activities.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
Proven judgment, initiative and self-motivation to work independently.
Experience providing good customer service required.
Employee must have working knowledge and understanding of safety and sanitation practices and procedures, and demonstrate the ability to read and understand labels.
Appropriate background checks are required.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
