Research Assistant

The University of Maine Process Development Center seeks a full time Research Assistant to conduct experimental work on chemical and physical properties of pulp fibers, paper, or other materials; may include projects in polymer processing, coating, and papermaking.? This position is year-round, 40 hours a week, with benefits.?? The position of Research Assistant is responsible for performing highly complex research-related tasks, including testing of pulp, paper, composites, and other materials in accordance with standard procedure.? Assignments may include short-term technical service projects as well as work involving long-term research projects.? The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
